We have lost too many already. All donations to Landcare SJ support research, recovery, rescue and protection of ENDANGERED Black Cockatoos.
As natural hollows are destroyed this may be the only way to save these beautiful birds. Many thanks to past donors who have supported research and development, and placement of Cockatube nest boxes.
Particularly into fire ravaged areas since 2019, across Western Australia, the east coast, and South Australia – it’s not only people who lose their homes.
Donations contribute to scientific research, leading to a better understanding of optimal breeding habitat for all species of Black Cockatoo.
There are many groups that are supporting Black Cockatoos across Western Australia. Contact us for more information or visit the WA Landcare network.
“Your support is making a difference. Please consider.”
Assist with roost counts and surveys by joining the Great Cocky Count. This annual survey counts Black Cockatoos at night-time roost sites on a single night in April.
Landcare SJ is involved in revegetation throughout Serpentine Jarrahdale and North Murray.
Focus on local native species to provide vital food sources and nesting sites for our birds.
